It does not happen very often that the fashion and styling recommended by the fashion designers become popular and accepted in the street. In everyday life, when worn by people who don’t have model proportions, outfits of the famous brands look completely different. In fact, I think I’ve never seen any person wearing the same stylization as on the fashion show; hairstyle, make-up, clothes, shoes… It is easy to conclude that famous brands’ products are inspiration for many women, but that the majority of them have their own experience of fashion and certain boundaries in the creation of their personal style.
Fashion bloggers brought fashion closer to women outside of the fashion industry. They are usually talented, enterprising and with a vision how to make an outfit from different fashion brands and to create personal style by which the audience will recognize and follow them through various social networks. Sometimes it seems that people are more likely to accept this alternative fashion promotion concept, because suggested clothes are properly chosen for certain life situations. Popularity of fashion bloggers is huge and their opinion affect many interested persons.
Of course, there are many different fashion blogs. Some of them are respected by the fashion experts and others exist outside of fashion industry, offering ideas and style that have never been proven or established.
One of the blogs which has extraordinary rating and respect of serious fashion experts is Sara Brajovic’s blog. WWW.SARABRAJOVIC.COM
Exclusively for EGO MAGAZIN, Sara Brajovic is talking about her talents and personal style that inspires people throughout the world.
Somehow, it is more comfortable to me to talk about non-intimate subjects in public, in fact about external matters. I’m not superficial person, not at all, but it is easier to chat with journalists superficially. In general, questions about beautification and clothes are standard forms for the journalists in fashion industry – they are just not interested in anything else, because fashion usually doesn’t see anything deeper then someone’s appearance. Only my diary, which I call my silent psychiatrist, hears everything from me.
I think it is a personal matter. I need very short time to get dressed, I know what I feel comfortable in, what fits me and what not, I have built style of my own. When I enter a shop, I know exactly what I want and that’s why I mostly buy online, to avoid crowd. I have realized I am not a fashion addict and I buy timeless clothes which I can wear today, but also in a 20 years. I also know people who are not obsessed by fashion, so they capture ideas along the way and take other people’s advices or get dressed just in order not to walk naked on the street.
Machine Pilates rules, it sets bones and muscles for a lifetime, reshapes body. I love sports and after I have spent 6 years in the Swiss Alps, I can say that my strongest sport is skiing. I competed in slalom against other schools in Switzerland.
I decorated my ex-boyfriend’s apartment completely, from wall art to tea cups. My apartments I also decorate myself, of course.
Weirdness, combination of colors and forms.
I like it when there is some kind of composition as if on canvas or to look like a sculpture. I was a million times in homes with a reputation of gorgeous ones, but to me they were boring and predictable, as if they were decorated by Madam Bovary or Mrs. Minister… At the end, everything is matter of taste.
Perfectly arranged home is the one you can completely relax in.
Music. Art. Movies. Dreams.
To the girls with open mind, wide range of interests, which have traveled and saw a lot, which are aesthetes…
I try not to have rules.
Paris is very close to my heart, that’s where I grew up and it feels like home. In Belgrade I relax the most, maybe too much!
I can’t express it. My Venus is in Pisces, so something that is indescribable by words can charm me.
I love to play two or three-voice Bach inventions, because it is like pure mathematics. Mozart in minor and of course Chopin’s beautiful melodies. I would like to compose modern music, but about that in the future.
People, cities, moments.
I have always wondered what that is about me and Russia. As a model, beside for the American press, the most editorials I have made for Russian – their Marie Claire, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Tatler. Then I have started to appear in their press like well styled girl and then they began to interview me about my style and life. I love Russia and in London I non-stop sit in Marri Vanni Russian restaurant which looks like Russian country houses.
Kazuyo Sejima &Ryue Nishizawa Pavillion was great because all the opening evening we have stared in the mirrors which deformed us.
Job like any other. Except everyone was more focused on him!
I had a lot of offers, but it was always character of a model who is taking clothes off or make out. Finally, I’ve accepted cute and very comic role which is totally me, in English film of director Duncan Vards, known by the movie Boogie Woogie. Premiere is in June this year in London.
The last one I have seen during the flight to America – Anna Karenina. As a theatre piece. I am not sure how well British understand Russian/Slavic soul? That was strong negative impression. Then, i’ve seen Sophie Marceau version and said „Thank God someone processed well this wonderful novel“.
The less of it you have, the better you go in life.
I don’t make plans. However the things take place on their own. Who knows, maybe I will record an album someday, or go to Mars. Never say never.
